CAULFIELD'S State League lacrosse side had a bye last weekend and its division two club was wishing it had one as well after getting hammered by Malvern 29-1.
Graham Rodrigues scored Malvern's lone goal but suffered a leg injury late in the game.
There was better news from the Under 18s, who were edged by a tough Williamstown 2 unit 11-7.
Anthony Murovanchik, James Phipps and Jack Chamberlain each tossed in two goals, Max Szczepanski one.
Caulfield's Under 16 side got a first-quarter goal from Artie Blakeney and trailed Eltham just 2-1 heading into the second term, but were blanked the rest of the way and lost 11-1.
Caulfield did notch a win in Under 12B play, downing Camberwell 7-5.
Albert Lynn, Amy Lynn, Liam Fothergill, Jai Bartlem, William Stevens, Darian Jones, Finley Raaymakers, E Brunetti and Al Brunetti all contributed.
